Gripset Wet Area systems selected for City Of Dreams Casino, Macau

The Gripset waterproofing system has been selected and used throughout the wet areas of Hotel A at PBL’s City of Dreams Casino, Macau. Aedas Architects had 1 primary set of criteria for the Leighton constructed project – absolutely no leaks to wet areas on all floors of the ritzy Hotel accommodation.

The unique construction methods used for Hotel A, had utility pipes and specialised cabling in the cavities of all wet area walls, needing to ensure there were no leaks through wet area walls and floors. Due to the sensitive nature of cavity walls, leaks to any wet area would cause potential closure of the total rooms on the floor while remedial works were carried out. The Gripset wet area system along with the Elastoproof detailing system were specified and used to tank the bathrooms and toilet rooms before the natural stone finishes were applied over the membrane system.
